 LIFE;EXPECTING NOTHING IN RETURN

Our life is a journey and we are the travellers of this journey. Travelling is a good one for our senses. It refreshes our soul and prepares us for the next plan of action. Staying at the same spot is no longer good. Keep moving will give us energy. We have many dreams and expectations about our life, haven't we?  When things do not come to our way we get irritated. We will not only ruin the mood of our journey but also ruin other's peace. Expectations are such a stuff that's importance cannot be avoided.

Expectations in our Life

"When you have expectations you are setting yourself up for disappointment", says Ryan Reynolds, a Canadian- American actor. From childhood, expectations play a vital role in our life's journey. A small child expects opportunities for fun and play. More than that, they expect their parent's love. Without love, expectation is only a shadow. It can be said in a way that expectations are the thirst of our inner heart to grab more love, care and concern. If a small child is nurtured with enough love and security he will have less wants when he becomes a man or a woman.  Childhood is the foundation age of all ages of a person's life. The personality is being formed on the basis of the experience of childhood days.

Why do we Expect?

As we are in the journey of our life, we go through different places, different experiences and situations and mingle with different people. An ordinary human being may have limited expectations about his life. An Aspirant or ambitious person may expect more out of his life. To an extent, it is good to have a lot of expectations about our life. But, when we realise that most of them were unattainable we feel sad. We may feel like the time and energy that we have utilised for cherishing those expectation went futile.

Expectations in our  Personal Life

As far as a person is concerned, he has his own vested interests and attitudes of his life. He may have to care for his family and to maintain his career and passion. Most of us shuffle our family and career in our daily life. It should not be done. Both are different entities. As far as I am concerned, I am of the opinion that everyone has to give his family the first priority. Normally, our family life and profession are often intertwined. It is somewhat difficult to make it apart  but for the present situation, it is necessary.

Every one of us cherish expectations about our family life and our career. Most of us may be interested to build up a career first and then start the family life. it is wise that first we should have a well financial background and then go to make our own single space in this world. If we are 'expectation- savy', expectations will rush every now and then. We have to strike a balance between the two. We may be confused which expectation will bring colour to our life. We may be expecting a 'perfect family' and a 'superior job'. We know that both are a 'hard nut to crack' but we simply expects,  that's all.

Just sit and relax and ask to our conscious that how far we were able to be faithful to our family and to our profession. Both are important. If we disregard anyone we will regret later. Were we running after expectations all the time like chasing the wind? What do we get? Did we accomplish all our expectations? And, for it, what were our sacrifices? How do we feel now? Happy or sad? Just collect all your answers and analyse them thoroughly. Then you will get a picture of your life journey.

Life of Hope

After the careful analysis, take serious steps to make better our next phase of journey. Make sure that the follies that we have done in the past will not be repeated in the future. Hope that everything will turn good to us. In the new phase of our life, love our dear and near ones without expecting any returns. We got understood that expectations from others will bring only disappointment. Just learn the 'art of loving others without expecting anything in return' and trust me, you will see miracles in your life.

Living a life without expecting anything, does not mean a dull life or colourless life. We have hopes in our hearts. It will bring happiness to our mind. When we are all set for a 'life of giving' our life will bring amazing delights to us.
