LIFE IS A DREAM
Life is a Dream
"Dream, dream, dream.Dreams transform into thoughts and thoughts result in action." Says, APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India and an Indian aerospace scientist and politician. Life, a dream means it has far more specifications. That means everyone dreams widely during their daily life. Dreams are connected with our subconscious mind. Whatever we do or think has a backup in our memory. When we sleep our brain brings all to our conscious mind. The dreams are largely connected to an individual's personal routine. If he is an energetic or goal-oriented, the dreams will be up to that part. A lazy person may not have positive dreams.
Understanding Dreams
A dream is a succession of images, ideas, emotions and sensations that usually occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. The content and purpose of dreams are not fully understood, although they have been a topic of scientific, philosophical and religious interest throughout recorded history.
Significance of Dream
As the human life is a journey, the dreams are the companions of his journey. It travels along with him throughout his life. From childhood itself we start our journey with our dreams. It takes us to different realms of imagination. It is these imaginations that bring colours to our life. When life enters another phase, the dreams also change its phase and both together travel in the same direction.
The dreams make a person active. A lazy person may not be productive regarding the dreams. People who love adventure may gain more from their dreams. We keep our dreams along with our targeted goals and objectives. Of course, the process is not so smooth. As usual, obstacles will come along with all our plans of action. We have to face it boldly whenever it comes.
Connecting Dreams with Life
Obviously, our dreams are one of our motivating forces that take us ahead in our life's journey. During this process, we have to take care that the dreams should not remain as 'daydreams' or it should not turn into 'nightmares'. Daydreaming does not produce any favourable growth in us and the nightmares stop us from further growth.
Daydreaming and living in a fantasy world is very common among the teenagers and adolescents. They may not be bothered about their 'state of growing' even though it is a part of their physical and mental growth. Their 'mood swings' should be checked regularly to keep the 'tempo of life' going. Parents and teachers should maintain a healthy relationship with these group and guide them in the right way.
As professionals we have to aim high in order to achieve more in our life. But it should not be done by outwitting others. The 'ethics' of each profession should be implemented by everyone. It is the dreams that took man to the moon. He is finding out ways to make the space a habitat for the human beings on the earth.
Dreams Made to Vision
Many great personalities have developed their dreams to a vision. They restructured their goals and objectives according to their vision. Dreams remain as dreams only if we do not make it grow as a vision. For instance, an astronaut dreams only about going to space and discover more facts related with the space. In his mind he will be trying to make his dream into a reality. He envisage his journey and exploration. It is called his vision. Many renowned people in the history were the people who made their dreams into reality.
Dreams are the fuel for our everyday journey. Without an expectation or imagination the journey of life will get bored. When we nourish positive thoughts and desirable lifestyle, the dreams will get shaped into a reality.
Move On! Your dreams and your imagination will give you wings for your journey of life. Do not remain static in your own imagination. Share your expectations and dreams with your dear and near ones. Go ahead on your life's journey. Make it happy and delightful all The way."
