LIFE; A CLASH BETWEEN VIRTUE AND VICE
LIFE; A CLASH BETWEEN VIRTUE AND VICE
We all are on a great journey called 'life'. Every one of us is quite busy with the hurry burry of our journey. In our everyday life journey we have to go through many experiences which may be good or bad. We always wish for good things to come, but often things happen just opposite to it. We are confused which one is good and which is bad. Our life seems to be locked in good and bad options.
Life is Good
Each one's life is precious. It is given for a purpose. It is not to be used for unhealthy or inhuman purposes. The good values that we learn in our childhood make our later life meaningful. When the good values like kindness, charity, obedience, love, respect and many more are are learnt in childhood the person may travel along the right path. Supervision is also needed in the teenage and adolescence. The society and the family has the responsibility of making a girl or a boy to a perfect woman and a perfect man.
Children should be able to make a comparison between what is good and what is bad. The parents and teachers are the best resource persons of children in their school ages. If the young ones are unattended they may get spoiled by the vices of the world. If we observe we can understand that the whole world is under two forces: virtue and vice. Whatever good comes the vice will try to oppress it. We can see a clash between virtue and vice everywhere.
Life's Resistance
Once we understood the reality, we have to take precautions to preserve our life. We are the one to make a choice. We have to choose one, either virtue or vice. Most of us will be living in between the two. It is the common practice everywhere. Instead of going with the flow, we have to make a difference. If we look around, we can see that there are more favourable chances to lead a bad life. Everywhere we can see temptations to enjoy the life in a negative manner. Instead of making progress in our journey, we get hooked on these temptations. We have to realise the 'hidden agenda' of the vice. It will always distract our attention from fulfilling our duties and responsibilities. It may make us remain in a 'make-believe' world.
Even though the vice has a short-term success, the ultimate success will be for the virtue. When we have decided to preserve our precious life we have to go ahead with our heads up.
Life is spreading Goodness
"Treat those who are good with goodness and also treat those who are not good with goodness. Thus goodness is attained" says Lao Tzu, the ancient Chinese philosopher and writer. Lao Tzu's words are relevant even today. We have to treat well those who are not so kind and generous. It will be really challenging if we undertake this message in our life.
Our life is very short and we have only a short distance to cover in our life. We have to make our own space. We should be vigilant about the the spending of each minute. We have to think wisely if we want to follow the virtue or the vice. Remaining neutral in between these two will not make any sense. Do not copy other's life because it is their life, not ours. The trend of the whole world is celebration and entertainment. Who cares for the poor one? After much celebration and enjoying life every minute moments a sort of emptiness will come to eat us. Then what will be our response? The shocking reports from all over the world is that a majority of the youth is under depression and other stress- related diseases. The evil has grabbed the promising youth of every nation in its clutches.
Believing in the richness and serenity of our life will really give us a direction to our life's journey. We are not meant for only parties. We have a great mission in our life. We have many responsibilities to fulfill. Set goals in our life then it can be followed step by step. When we sit and relax even after considerable time boredom will start affecting us.
"Move on! your adventurous journey is waiting for you. Select the paths of your journey with great caution. Try to learn to wrestle with the problems you face ahead. Always keep a graceful smile on your lips and a helping hand for the needy.
"YOU WILL WIN!"
